A future Tokyo Hotel Casino and Resort complex will be voted on without the people even realizing.

The snap parliamentary election in Japan this Sunday is billed as a referendum on Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s policy of monetary expansion, fiscal stimulus and structural reforms. All of which have not lifted Japan out of the economic sluggery it faces.

But the vote will also hold the fate of the Tokyo Hotel Casino and Resort prospects, but isn't even a topic that is on the minds of the voters  and not a campaign agenda.  Abe is in full support of a Tokyo Casino or integrated resort to help the economy, but his recent Party scandals means it is a long road ahead for a casino to be legalized.
